Senior Assistant Accountant | Tonbridge | £30k-£35k + Study Support (ACCA/CIMA) Our client is a fast-growing, multi-entity business with an ambitious vision and a commitment to operational excellence. As they continue to scale, they are looking to hire a highly capable and motivated Senior Assistant Accountant to support their CFO and finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a broad and varied role with excellent exposure and long-term progression. If you\’re studying towards your ACCA or CIMA and looking for a hands-on, developmental rolethis is the one for you. Key Responsibilities: Reconcile Accounts Payable to ensure timely, accurate invoice processing (PO and non-PO) Manage Accounts Receivable and credit control, ensuring timely receipt of payments Prepare and submit VAT returns for CFO review Support and advise on multi-currency transactions Reconcile balance sheet accounts, control accounts, and intercompany transactions Assist with monthly management accounts and year-end audit preparation Maintain cashflow forecasting and support financial reporting for the CFO Conduct financial analysis and suggest process improvements Daily reconciliation of bank and card payments Respond to finance queries and monitor shared inboxes File invoices, receipts, and support documentation Support ad hoc finance projects across multiple business units Candidate Profile: Experience in a similar finance role with hands-on responsibilities Strong Excel skills and confident handling technical/numerical data Excellent verbal and written communication skills Studying towards ACCA/CIMA or equivalent Highly numerate, analytical, and detail-oriented Self-motivated with strong time management and organisational skills Positive, team-oriented mindset with a can-do attitude Familiarity with Xero is a plus Passion for finance and desire to progress in a growing business This is a brilliant opportunity to step into a finance role that offers more than just processing.
