Overview As a crucial member of our team, the Hire Desk Assistant will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of Conquip Engineering Group, making a tangible impact on our customers and business. This role is based at our headquarters in Alton, Hampshire. Main Purpose of the Role The Hire Desk Assistant will be responsible for managing, distributing, and maintaining our hire fleet to meet our customers\’ expectations. Working closely with the Operations Team, you will ensure all orders are dispatched on time and in full. Key Responsibilities Process and respond to all hire desk queries promptly and efficiently. Provide exceptional support to customers throughout the hire journey. Manage and resolve hire desk processes and queries. Ensure all delivery dates are met and promptly communicate any changes or issues to the Transport Team. Coordinate large deliveries, process off-hire requests, and communicate with customers for off-hire requests and booking details. Follow up on all free-of-charge hires to maintain the one-week trial period. Manage goods in for all off-hire stock following depot inspections. Communicate with the Operations Team for lead times and stock inquiries. Handle queries from customers, warehouse, yard, and transport effectively.
