We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in providing guidance and support to children. The ideal candidate for this position will have prior experience in similar settings such as Teaching Assistant, Youth Work, Family Support Work, Behaviour Mentor or Children s Residential Support Work. We are working with Mainstream Primary schools in Alfreton DE55 Derbyshire, focusing on long-term and permanent employment, meaning that you return to the SAME school every day, therefore offering consistency not only to staff, but for the students also, with often this resulting in you transferring across onto schools contract. Working with such a range of different school settings means that we have endless opportunities to suit exactly what you are looking for aligning with your skillset and experience. Responsibilities

Provide mentoring and support to a year 4 student who has severe attachment needs

Adapting learning materials to suit the pupils learning style.

Foster a positive learning environment through interactive activities.

Assist with behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions, including de-escalating and re-directing behaviours.

Monitor and track progress of the pupils development.

Competitive Salary You ll receive Pay to Scale from day one through PAYE (minimum rate is £13.04ph)
Work-Life Balance 13 weeks holiday a year, as well as only working 9.30-13.30 Monday to Friday
£100 Referral Bonus (You do not have to be working through us to receive this).Please note that the salary range is so broad with this advert due to different school settings offering different salaries due to more hours/ additional responsibilities.
For the higher pay rate, you must have at least 2 years experience as a Teaching Assistant.
