Head of Digital Content (3–6 Month Contract)

Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days in office.

About the Role

This is a critical leadership role within the Digital team, acting as the central connection point between the Digital function and the Global Marketing, Paid Social, CRM, and Content teams. You will be responsible for overseeing how campaigns and product launches are brought to life across the brand’s website and app, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality content that is consistent, on-brand, and performance-driven.

You’ll lead and manage the digital content team, drive improvements to content processes, and ensure campaigns are launched efficiently and successfully across all digital platforms. Stakeholder management and leadership of cross-functional teams will be key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end digital content strategy, ensuring flawless execution of campaigns and product launches across the website and app.
  • Act as the bridge between the Digital and Global Marketing teams, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and timely delivery of all digital assets to Paid Social, CRM, and Content teams.
  • Lead the planning, briefing, and execution of onsite content and digital features to support new product launches and brand campaigns.
  • Oversee a newly formed Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring the smooth delivery of all creative assets and managing the entire campaign workflow from brief through to deployment.
  • Manage the creation and publication of both pre-recorded and live content that educates and engages the customer.
  • Lead and optimise translation and localisation processes, leveraging AI capabilities and working closely with in-house linguists to streamline global content delivery.
  • Ensure all digital content reflects the brand’s tone of voice, visual identity, and storytelling principles.
  • Use data-driven insights to continuously improve content performance and customer engagement.
  • Manage budgets and resources efficiently, ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and development for the digital content and project management teams.
  • Champion process improvement, automation, and operational excellence across digital
  • content creation and delivery.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Significant experience in digital content, campaign delivery, and team leadership within a fast-paced beauty, lifestyle, or consumer brand.
  • Strong understanding of the beauty industry is essential, ideally with a personal passion for the sector.
  • Prior experience working in a founder-led business, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and founders directly.
  • A proven track record of leading content teams and delivering complex campaigns across digital platforms.
  • Highly skilled in stakeholder management, with the ability to manage expectations and influence across multiple functions.
  • Knowledge of AI tools and automation for content creation and translation is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing budgets, processes, and project workflows in high-growth environments.
  • Data-driven, commercial, and customer-focused mindset.
  • Hands-on, collaborative leadership style with strong attention to detail and delivery.
