Job Description
My client are a very well respected technology consultancy. They're UK based, with a global reach and have an exceptional reputation within the marketplace.
They're looking to work alongside a Managed File Transfer (MFT) specialist Architect / Consultant on an advisory piece of work for their long term Public Sector client.
This is an urgent contract – fully signed off, to start ASAP and Outside of IR35.
We're looking for candidates to have…
Experience with specific COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) products like IBM Sterling, TIBCO, and True (MuleSoft). We're looking for a specialist in one of the above and as much knowledge as possible on the others.
Ability to perform a comparison of these products against client requirements / current Managed File Transfer platform, including cost analysis, migration feasibility, and complementary use alongside existing systems.
Business / commercial understanding to assess cost-benefit and fit within existing setups, in addition to technical expertise.
Ideally, background as an architect or specialist with experience in file transfer systems.
Strong analytical and communication skills to present findings and recommendations.
The perfect candidate will have the following experience (but not essential)…
Experience working for consultancies.
Experience working within Public Sector.
Experience working for MFT product vendors.
Knowledge of multiple / all products listed above
This is a 3 month contract (urgent start – potential for extension if necessary), to assess the current MFT environment and produce a report detailing pro's and con's of continuing to build upon / improve current systems, vs purchase a COTS system and assessing pro's and con's of each product. Whilst we're expecting that suitable candidates will have a technical background, this is more of an Analyst / Architect role (at least for this phase of the project).
This is a hybrid role, so you can be based anywhere in the UK, but you will likely need to travel to meet stakeholders (prob West Yorkshire max once every 2 weeks).
Please apply with CV for quick consideration.
