At Monzo, our mission is to make money work for everyone, everywhere. We’re looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager to lead our launch more and more Products across multiple new countries over 2025 and beyond. This is a high-impact role that demands both technical expertise and exceptional leadership to drive our ambitious goals.
Reporting to our VP of Engineering you will collaborate with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure Monzo’s continued success
You Should Apply If
- You have 5+ years of experience managing complex technology programs or products from inception to launch.
- You are able to communicate clearly and persuasively to a wide range of audiences, including executive leadership.
- You are comfortable in a global business with a presence in multiple markets and want to be a part of scaling this further
- You can work effectively with a diverse range of people and working styles to get stuff done, and are able to thoughtfully and constructively challenge and influence the people you work with.
- You understand how functionality comes together (across products and platforms) to deliver value for users, and identify/mitigate delivery risks proactively; can propose and drive a technical solution.
- You are comfortable personally diving deep into the data to make good decisions in complex situations where there’s often no “right answer”.
The Interview Process
- Recruiter Call (30 mins) You\’ll meet our Engineering Leadership Recruiter to discuss your experience and learn more about Monzo. They\’ll be your partner and guide throughout the interview process.
- Initial Call (45 mins) You\’ll meet with one of our engineering leaders. They\’ll ask you about your previous experience, in particular program execution and technical leadership. They’ll also make time to tell you about Monzo and answer your questions.
- Loop Stage (4 hours) The Loop stage consists of 4 x 60 min interviews that take place over 1-2 days (depending on your availability).
- 4. Final Conversation – Given the importance of the role, it’s likely we’ll also ask you to meet our CTO, before making a final decision. This’ll be an opportunity for you to also meet our most senior leaders at Monzo.
