Job Description

We have partnered with well-established SME manufacturing business who are now on the lookout an experienced Financial Controller.

With a strong client base with some of the UK's leading brands, this is a rare opportunity to join an established company that continues to go from strength to strength.

About the Role:Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take full ownership of the finance function, playing a key role in shaping the financial health and strategic direction of the business. This is a hands-on leadership role that will see you manage and develop a small, dedicated finance team, while driving improvements in financial processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including reporting, forecasting, budgeting, month-end process, and cash flow.
  • Manage compliance for Tax, VAT, and statutory requirements.
  • Lead the annual audit process and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Streamline financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Oversight of AP, AR
  • Collaborate closely with other departments, providing financial insights to support operational decisions.

What We're Looking For:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • A strong background in manufacturing or a related sector.
  • A hands-on leader who enjoys collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Strong leadership experience is highly desirable.
