Job Description
Client Account ManagerWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Client Account Manager to lead a dedicated team responsible for managing financial processes across multiple client sites within our portfolio of sites. You will oversee the accuracy of trading results, client invoicing, and financial system integrity, while ensuring all activity aligns with best practices and compliance standards.Location: Reading – HybridSalary: 60k – 70kIndustry: Food & Beverage Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a finance team of professionals, overseeing day-to-day activity and performance.
- Take ownership of the monthly trading cycle, ensuring client invoicing and financial results are delivered accurately and on schedule.
- Act as the key liaison for client finance-related queries, building strong relationships and ensuring effective issue resolution.
- Ensure new sites are correctly established in financial systems, including ERP and trading platforms, and that all opening/closing procedures are correctly communicated.
- Oversee financial master data management, including general ledger codes, location IDs, and hierarchy structures.
- Review and approve reconciliations of balance sheet accounts via Blackline or similar reconciliation tools.
- Support location-level budgeting processes, including uploads, updates, and adjustments.
- Work closely with transformation and integration teams on system transitions, acquisitions, and new client onboarding.
- Identify and implement improvements to internal processes and reporting workflows.
- Collaborate with the senior finance leadership team on ad hoc analysis, reporting, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong technical understanding of internal controls, finance operations, and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
- Comfortable working across ERP systems and finance applications such as Dynamics GP (Great Plains), Evolution, and Blackline.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster productive relationships across finance, operations, and external stakeholders.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines under pressure.
- Confident presenting information clearly to various levels of the business.
