Trainee foot health practitioner required. This opportunity is ideal for someone who prefers to work autonomous and likes to be in control of their own diaries. The job involves dealing with all sorts of foot conditions including ingrowing toenails, using a surgical blade to remove hard skin, corns and verruca and applying dressings to wounds etc. The job will involve sitting on a very low stool several times per day during home visits and you will also need to carry a large bag for the transportation of equipment. Training will take anywhere from two months to a year depending on the speed you are willing to learn. You are NOT paid for your training. After qualifying you will be working independently and will be earning £20-£30 per hour. Applicants are asked to consider that you will NOT be earning any money whilst you are training. All training, DBS,Insurance and equipment, CPD and everything else is supplied and full support is given both during and after training. Duties will involve visiting people within their own homes including nursing and care homes etc. You will need your own car as you will be travelling from house to house each day you are working.
