Senior Automation/DevOps Engineer (x5) (Chef)
Remote EU OR UK (UK – O/IR35) 

Overview:
Our client, based in eastern EU is seeking serveral Automation/DevOps Engineers to join their Cloud Platform team. This is a high-impact role focused on automating patch management, vulnerability remediation, and enforcing CIS compliance within an on-premise environment.
You’ll be working on a key project stream (CSVM), helping to shape and streamline infrastructure management processes using Chef for configuration automation. This is a fully remote opportunity with immediate start available (UK, EU remote)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Chef Cookbooks for automating patching and compliance activities
• Implement infrastructure automation solutions in either Wintel servers OR Linux environments
• Support ongoing vulnerability remediation and CIS compliance initiatives
• Collaborate with cloud and security stakeholders across the platform team
• Contribute to process improvements and documentation

Must-Have Experience:

• Proven expertise with Chef (this is non-negotiable)
• Strong experience in Wintel OR Linux engineering within enterprise environments
• Experience with Terraform for deploying and managing cloud environments
• Solid understanding of patch management, compliance frameworks, and automation workflows
• Hands-on experience managing and integrating Active Directory within automated or enterprise infrastructure environments
• Comfortable working independently and in cross-functional remote teams
• Exposure to large-scale on-prem and hybrid environments
• Familiarity with modern DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
