We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly person to join our team as aRecovery Motivator,supporting service users in Mansfield to engage with substance use treatment in the community. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team you will work with those who are directly impacted by their own substance use, as well as working with key partners to empower communities.
Where: Mansfield
Hours: Part Time, 24 per week
Full Time Salary: £25,077.00 (based on full time hours, paid pro rata if part time hours)
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31st March 2026.
*Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities
About the role:
- Meet individuals to discuss their personal goals regarding their recovery and encourage individuals to engage with substance use treatment
- Createlinks with stakeholders and local communities and work to target people affected by drugs and alcohol who are hard to reach – those who are at risk of being recalled to prison, those isolated in communities, unaware of services, or who do not feel services are for them
- Attendteam meetings/group supervision with the aim of sharing good practice and finding solutions
- Utilise existing local resources and build local community awareness, signposting to relevant agencies
About you:
- Lived experience of drug or/and alcohol use
- Excellent written and verbal communication skillsalong withgood IT skills
- Be able to build relationships with individuals with multiple needs, whilst remaining empathetic and non-judgemental toward Service Users
- Confident in working alone as well as part of a team
- Canremain calm under pressure
- Ableto travel asrequired, including where public transport is not available
- A willingness to undergo Prison Vetting and MOJ Vetting.

25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays. Additionally, you\’ll receive one extra day of annual leave for each year of service during your first five years, therefore you will enjoy 30 days of leave after five years with us.
