EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
We’re creating a new dedicated ‘Proactive Pollution Prevention Team’ to bolster our commitment to protecting local environments and boost the resilience of our waste network. This new 60-strong team, means we need a team of skilled electricians to join us.
As an ‘Electrical Maintenance Technician’ in this exciting new team, you’ll serve as an additional layer of protection for our wastewater network, focusing on proactively improving and overhauling our pumping stations.
You’ll play a crucial role in reducing issues and preventing potential problems at pumping stations, making a real difference to communities, the environment, and customers.
We\’re recruiting these roles right across the Severn Trent region, with opportunities in Warwickshire, Leicestershire, West Midlands, Worcestershire, Gloucester, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire.
You’ll be based at one of our main sewage treatment sites (whichever is closest to your home location) and will be provided with a vehicle for business use, laptop, mobile, safety clothing and tools appropriate to the job.
The core working hours are Monday to Thursday 7.30am – 3.30pm and Friday 7.30am – 3pm, you’ll also participate in a 24/7 stand-by rota and will be eligible for overtime.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
Along with your experience, you must hold…
- 18th Edition Electrical Regulations and ongoing new additions
- A full UK driving licence
You’ll also know how to work with process control systems and have a working knowledge of industrial electrical installation requirements and standards.

The role is part of a competency framework to support your development from “Foundation” through to “Skilled”, with the option to progress to “Expert” status. Starting at £38,574.30 rising to £45,124.35 depending on additional qualifications and experience.
As part of your ongoing professional development there will be the opportunity for you to become upskilled as a LV SAP, which would come with an additional allowance on top of your basic salary.
