A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FOOD & BEVERAGE ASSOCIATE (Casual) AT THE WESTIN LONDON CITY

In this role you will report to the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager

What you\\\’ll be doing…

  • You will be the first and last point of contact with the guest in the hotel’s food and beverage areas
  • You will be serving guests at the table
  • Keeping the restaurant and bar areas clean, safe and tidy
  • Setting and resetting of tables in the restaurant before guests arrive and after they leave
  • Liaising with the kitchen team and helping out with beverage service
  • Learning opportunities through Mariott & 4C training portals

To succeed in the role of Food & Beverage Associate, you will need the following qualities and skills:

  • Wine knowledge and service.
  • Spirits/general beverage knowledge.
  • Excellent food service skills.
  • Team player who can be flexible and happy to both cover shifts and work in other areas as part of their weekly rota structure.
  • Flexible to work between different duties in the food & beverage operations depending on the business need
  • Previous experience in a similar role in a four- or five-star environment desirable.
  • Oral & written fluency in English. Additional language will be considered a plus.
