About the role

The Business Developer HVAC will focus on developing the business for the HVAC market within the E&M vertical. The role includes the development of new customers and geographies and sales activities to support growth across existing customers.

The Business Developer HVAC is responsible for meeting and exceeding all budgeted sales goals without exceeding the approved selling expense budget. Managing an existing book of regional accounts and ensuring successful renewals are also key tasks.

Understanding the customer’s buying and decision-making process, as well as their business drivers, is crucial due to the complex service offering that requires building trust at all levels to create strong customer solutions.

How You Will Contribute

  1. Lead a strategic project to enter a new industry within contract logistics & transportation.
  2. Lead an engaged team of operational salespeople in the HVAC market within the E&M vertical, providing direction and fostering collaboration.
  3. Develop and implement a comprehensive plan for developing this service offering with Operational leadership.
  4. Generate leads and opportunities, leveraging your existing network and book of business.
  5. Meet and exceed financial growth targets and expand DP World’s geographic and solutions footprint.
  6. Build relationships with key decision makers at all levels within customers.
  7. Maintain an understanding of customer expectations and challenges, often anticipating their needs.
  8. Understand the customer\’s business strategically, operationally, and financially.
  9. Identify all influencers in the buying process and understand their requirements.
  10. Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of opportunities, quantifying and managing the probability of winning.
  11. Coordinate RFQs and renewals, managing the commercial relationship and contract negotiations.
  12. Follow internal commercial processes and procedures.
  13. Foster close cooperation across various functions within the organization.

What You Will Bring

  • Degree or equivalent in business administration or transport/logistics.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales quotas at a relevant scale.
  • Approximately 10+ years of experience in Contract Logistics, transport, or freight forwarding industry.
  • Significant value-selling experience.
  • Experience in Contract Logistics sales, with an existing book of business, and familiarity with the HVAC market.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
  • Flexibility to travel 30-60% of the time.
  • Fluent English skills; additional languages are a plus.
