Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for a Supply Chain Project Lead to join our Project Management Office team where you\’ll support us with Supply Chain excellence for all activities associated with novating a Licensors supply chain to Ontic.. This role will be based at our Staverton site.

The Role
As a Supply Chain Project Lead, you will work with the Project Management Office (PMO) and Supply Chain (SC) team to ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to within the quality plan. You will attend regular project review meetings with the licensor and suppliers as required. This position will have consistent involvement with the PM to develop the transfer plan for all Supply Chain activities including but not limited to Supplier Onboarding, PO Transfers, Inventory Management and SC Provisioning “SIOP”. You must be able to understand and be able to create and lead discussions around material line of balances and clear to build statuses for transferring products. Working closely with the business-as-usual team to ensure inventory transfers meet projected product verification builds and beyond is required. You will also support the supplier onboarding process and ensure the efficient onboarding of suppliers is completed within the project timeline. This requires the ability to understand project demand requirements and provision material to support the setting up of the production line and customer order book. You will be required to work closely with the SC team and ensure effective departmental communication and direction is provided on the project status. Other responsibilities include: early identification and resolution of supplier novation challenges and risks are documented, be able to report and present to different levels of management and communicate SC project status, identify opportunities for continuous improvement and work with relevant Ontic and/or supplier teams to implement effectively, support Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities to resolve supplier and internal technical problems, ensure that technical support is allocated early to resolve supplier quality issues, and confirm up to date, clear and concise metrics are kept throughout project demonstrating progress through each process step.

To be successful in this role you\’ll need to have a degree or equivalent in a technical subject or significant industry experience with good educational standards at lower level qualifications. Knowledge of Supply Chain and proven experience of working with suppliers is required. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills of technical issues is a must. Effective and accurate use of MS Office applications and ERP systems are necessities. Must possess a strong capability with large data sets and be able to decipher complex data and turn that into reports and tools to drive decision making. Must be able to travel globally.
