About the Role
We are seeking a part-time Human Resources professional to provide fractional HR support to our growing team of ~70 employees. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced HR generalist or HR assistant looking to scale back while staying actively engaged in meaningful work. You will serve as a go-to resource for HR-related questions, oversee payroll and benefits administration, and help us build foundational HR processes as we scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for employee HR and benefits-related questions
- Manage bi-weekly payroll using ADP
- Oversee benefits administration through our platform-based healthcare system (ACA-compliant, individual plan selection)
- Support onboarding/offboarding logistics in collaboration with department leads
- Maintain accurate employee records and help us begin implementation of a centralized HR system (we’re considering GoCo)
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies
- Assist with light reporting and audits as needed
- Collaborate with accounting team (we use Deltek) for payroll and benefits reconciliation
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, ideally in a small to mid-sized company
- Comfortable operating independently and advising leadership on best practices
- Experience with ADP payroll systems and general benefits administration
- Familiarity with ACA-compliant benefits platforms a plus
- Previous experience with or openness to working in environments without a formal HRIS
- Discreet, approachable, and able to manage confidential matters with professionalism
- Comfortable with a hybrid schedule (2 days/week in-office)
