Job Description

A Machine Operator is required to join an industrial recycling company in the Wednesbury / Darlaston area on a permanent day shift, operating a CNC water jet cutting machine.

The machine is used to dismantle large batteries, making the appropriate cuts required. You will be responsible for operating the machine, loading and unloading batteries and packing stock for dispatch.

Your duties will include;

  • Loading batteries onto the CNC jet cutting machine
  • Operating the machine and potentially learning to set it
  • Dismantling batteries
  • Packing battery components for dispatch
  • Adhering to strict health and safety guidelines at all times

For this Machine Operator role, ideally you will have experience working on similar CNC or cutting machinery (plasma cutting, laser cutting, bandsaws, etc.), but any machine experience may be considered.

This role will be;

  • Working days: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 5:15pm / 4:45pm on Fridays
  • Paying £12.21 per hour
  • Temp-to-perm – weekly pay whilst on the agency
