We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 7 Resuscitation Officer to join our dynamic team based in Aberdeen. It is essential that you have substantial experience in an acute healthcare setting.
Applicants will be considered for a trainee position under Annex 21 of the Agenda for Change terms & conditions if they do not meet the requirements of a PG diploma or ILS instructor. They must already meet one or the other of these requirements for their application to be considered.
For those still required to meet their PG diploma, this will take approximately 2 years. Pay will be awarded at 70% of a band 7 pay band maximum (£59,159) until the completion of year one, then 75% until the end of year two.
For those still required to meet their ILS instructor status, this will take approximately 1 year. Pay will be awarded at 75% of a band 7 pay band maximum (£59,159) until completion.

The successful candidate will be involved in delivering resuscitation training throughout NHS Grampian. You will be expected to support and participate in audits of cardiac arrest calls, attend clinical emergencies in a supportive and sometimes leadership role, and have good communication skills. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team and to expand upon good resuscitation practices using research and evidence-based practice is essential.
This post is offered as a full-time position, but part-time hours may be considered. The post requires membership of Disclosure Scotland\’s PVG Scheme.
The hours are Monday to Friday.
