Job Description
Brain Tumour Research is the leading voice of the brain tumour community in the UK. We are the only national charity dedicated to funding sustainable and long-term research to find a cure for all types of brain tumours. This devastating disease affects people of all ages and backgrounds, yet brain tumours continue to kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Despite this, just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has historically been allocated to brain tumours. We are determined to change this.
We are now looking for a strategic and inspirational leader to join us as Director of Income Generation and Development at a pivotal point in our journey. As part of our Senior Leadership Team, this role will play a critical part in delivering long-term, sustainable income growth to fund our ambitious plans. With a strong platform to build on and a highly motivated team in place, the successful candidate will be responsible for defining and delivering our fundraising strategy, unlocking our potential in high-value fundraising, and providing inspiring leadership to surpass income targets year-on-year.
The successful candidate will bring a strong track record of high value fundraising, specifically securing five- and six-figure gifts. You will be a natural relationship-builder and an excellent communicator, adept at engaging and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders including the community we support, donors, strategic partners, clinicians and researchers.
Importantly, your strategic mindset and data-led approach will enable you to identify new opportunities to innovate. You will bring a collaborative leadership style, with the ability to work closely with leadership colleagues to ensure an integrated approach that aligns income generation with growth in brand, profile and awareness.
This is a compelling opportunity for a talented fundraising professional to make a lasting impact in a growing organisation committed to driving change. If you share our ambition to build a brighter future for everyone affected by brain tumours and have the experience and vision to lead our income generation strategy, we would love to hear from you.
