Salary: Up to £35.88 per hour

Join our team to deliver highly effective modules for the International Foundation Year (Pre-Undergraduate, Level 3). Teach both in the Centre and online, fostering student success and preparing them for university. Collaborate with colleagues across the Centre to ensure effective delivery of teaching programmes in line with our education strategy and broader scholarship, aiming for an outstanding student experience. Contribute to student support and the development and implementation of innovative teaching practices. As a tutor, design, develop, and produce teaching and learning materials, delivering across a range of modules or within a specific subject area.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Delivering modules (online and face-to-face) to international students studying on programmes offered by the Centre and assisting with the development of modules.
  • Developing modules from module specifications, including schemes of learning and appropriate learning resources.
  • Preparing module examinations and other assessments, marking, and providing feedback to students.
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of the Centre’s virtual learning environment (VLE) and facilitating student access.
  • Providing input for module reviews and maintaining accurate records of attendance and performance.
  • Offering academic learning support to students when required.
  • Supporting various student engagement activities around the ISC.

ABOUT YOU

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject.
  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Business programmes within Sixth Form, Further Education, or Higher Education.
  • Competence in teaching and administrative IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, etc.).
  • Confidence in online teaching platforms (e.g., Teams, Zoom) and face-to-face teaching.
  • Ability to master a wide range of online teaching software.
