Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking a passionate Support Worker to join our incredible team in Portsmouth. We have permanent part time positions available, 30 hours per week.
At our Portsmouth services, we offer a diverse range of support. One of our services is a shared home for eight individuals, another provides one-to-one support, and we also support over 20 people in the community for just a few hours each week.
This is an exciting and varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll be delivering high-quality, flexible support to individuals with learning disabilities—helping them live as independently as possible and enjoy fulfilling, meaningful lives.
What we\’re looking for :
· A genuine passion for supporting others.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
· Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
Contract options :
· Part-time: 30 hours per week
All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!
· Days: Between 07:30-21:00
There is also a sleep-in available where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £ 63.70.
