The role
We are seeking a talented and creative individual to join Manchester Airport\’s Social Media Team. The role presents a confident individual with the unique opportunity to be the online face of the airport. You’ll be joining an expanding team at an exciting time and have real input into the growth of our social media channels.
Key Responsibilities
Content
- Plan, create, edit and execute content for an audience of 700k+ on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook and X, that attracts attention and garners a positive response.
- Manage the content calendar with one other Social Media Executive to ensure a consistent schedule of content is being delivered.
- Create content in different formats, including video, image and written.
- Schedule content using Sprout Social.
- Create content pro-actively that is aligned to our strategy and objectives, and re-actively by responding to trends and topical developments.
- Monitor how content is performing and provide insights and analysis to the Social Media Lead.
- Work closely with stakeholders including airlines, retailers, the Manchester Airport Transformation Programme (MANTP), marketing and more to support the delivery of their objectives.
Community Management
- Respond to customer enquiries and feedback.
- Maintain relationships with customers on social media to enrich social output.
- Engage with audiences including our community of plane spotters and airport advocates.
What will make you successful in the role?
We\’re looking for a person who can infuse creativity into our team and spearhead the creation of engaging, top-notch content on all our platforms. You should possess a proactive mindset, along with superb time management and organisation abilities. An enthusiastic interest in social media and a commitment to keeping up to date on industry trends and developments is also crucial.
It’s also desirable for you to have the below technical skills:
- Minimum 1 years social media experience.
- Excellent knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook and X.
- Software skills including capturing video and editing programmes such as Canva, CapCut and Adobe.
- Excellent copywriting and SPAG skills.
