We're an innovative, forward-thinking company with continued steady growth serving residential, hospitality, education, commercial and healthcare sectors with offices in Northern Ireland, London, Birmingham, Glasgow and the Republic of Ireland. We are actively looking for a Fabrication Supervisor to support our Offsite team at Kane. Responsibilities Supervising a team of general/skilled operatives, fabricators, welders & spray painters. Manage a busy assembly line and delegate tasks amongst the team as per requirements. Reviewing fabrication drawings & producing cutting lists. Working to a weekly planner ensuring dispatch deadlines are met. Assisting & supervising the QA team with checks to ensure fabricated products are in line with drawings. Organising materials for project, including ordering of daily consumables. Attending & leading daily production meetings. Liaising with HR to complete return to work forms & book employee AL. Completing annual employee appraisals, setting individual targets and reviewing employee performance periodically throughout the year. Liaising with service & maintenance manager for general fabrication warehouse maintenance & equipment maintenance Warehouse supervision, to include managing a tidy & organised store and the flow of materials through to the workshop. Overall responsibility for H&S on the workshop floor, conducting daily team briefings, weekly toolbox talks and attending bi-weekly H&S meetings. Assisting wider Offsite team with QA audits, striving for continual improvement of processes & procedures. Supervising adhoc works & subcontractors for any modular fitout or workshop maintenance projects. Qualifications Essential 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C) Including Math and English Experience & Knowledge Essential Workshop production line experience, either worked in or supervised. MIG/TIG/MMA welding processes & procedures. Desirable Previous experience within a supervisor/managerial role CWSIP 3.0 or 3.1 qualification, or demonstrate sound knowledge of NDT processes. Level 3 City & Guilds Plumbing Abilities & Skills Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise own workload. Developed problem solving skills, including the ability to manage conflicting work demands. Capacity to work independently with limited supervision Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to liaise and advise staff at all levels. To be highly organised with good planning and time-management skills. Good communication skills, both written and verbal with good presentation and interpersonal skills. To be flexible and work as part of a team. Able to work under pressure and meet short deadlines.
