Mott MacDonald Bentley is recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join the Anglian Alliance.
As part of Anglian Water\’s Alliance, we aim to create a sustainable and resilient water future. With an ambitious GBP2.3 billion capital investment in AMP8, we are transforming infrastructure, sustainability, and digital innovation to protect the environment and support communities.
What will you be doing as our new Mechanical Engineer?
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you\’ll provide mechanical engineering expertise to develop and deliver water TOTEX solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the analysis of mechanical options, ensuring risks are mitigated and design basis is maintained.
- Perform design calculations for mechanical, hydraulic, power, and building services equipment.
- Engage with supply chain to assess new technologies.
- Collaborate on 3D models and solutions with the design team.
- Oversee outputs like P&IDs, Data sheets, HAZID, HAZOP studies, and commissioning inputs.
- Promote safety and compliance with CDM regulations.
- Identify opportunities for digital, sustainability, and innovation goals.
Skills, experience, and behaviours:
You should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and extensive practical design experience, with a proven track record in hydraulic and mechanical systems. Knowledge of modular build, electrical control, instrumentation, and switchgear is essential. You should work collaboratively, take responsibility, and embrace new technologies to improve efficiencies.
