Science Teacher, Faringdon

We are actively recruiting an enthusiastic and skilled Science Teacher with UK recognised QTS based in Faringdon.

A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Faringdon is looking for a full-time Science teacher to join their team in September 2025. This is a long-term placement, and as a newly appointed teacher, you will be fully supported by the Science department. The role involves teaching up to GCSE level across the three sciences and participating in team planning.

The daily rate of pay starts at £145 and can increase to £190 for more experienced teachers with UK recognised Qualified Teaching Status. All Science specialisms will be considered.

UK qualified teacher status (QTS) is essential for this role.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Planning and delivering lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  2. Creating a positive environment and managing behaviour within the classroom.
  3. Providing leadership and support for the classroom assistant to ensure the best support for all pupils.

Requirements

  1. Qualified Teacher Status recognised in the UK.
  2. Full-time availability.
  3. Specialism or experience in teaching Science.
