Excellent opportunity to join a leading Civils and Groundworks Contractor working on a large 278 civils project in Bury St Edmunds. This scheme with comes with extensive deep drainage, groundworks, highways, hard landscaping and 278 works.
Duties will include:
- Delivery of the contract within programme and budget.
- Control and management of sub contract resources to the highest levels of safety, quality and efficiency.
- The continuous monitoring of contract progress to ensure contract objectives are being met.
- Ensuring that, in conjunction with the Project Delivery Team, changes to the contract are identified, agreed and effectively managed.
Must have:
- Valid SMSTS/SSSTS
- CSCS Card
- Groundworks and civils experience.
- NWSRA (advantage)
Duties
– Carry out groundworks including excavation, drainage installation, and site preparation.
– Supervise and manage a team of workers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
– Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site.
– Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
– Liaise with project managers to report progress and address any issues that arise during the project.
– Assist in training new staff members in safe working practices and operational procedures.
Requirements
– Proven experience in groundworks or a related field is essential.
– Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
– Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to construction sites.
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
– A valid driver’s licence may be required for site travel.
