Hays are recruiting on behalf of Birmingham City Council for an experienced Senior Practitioner (SP)/Assistant Team Manager (ATM) based in Birmingham QE Hospital in theplex Case team.
Your new role
As an SPD, you will have knowledge of managing a complex caseload, good knowledge of safeguarding 117, MCA, and Best Interests decision-making. Must have experience managing 5-7 staff or transferable supervisory skills, and all-round knowledge of the Care Act 2014. Experience using Eclipse systems is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
We are looking for candidates who can commence work quickly for a 6-month contract, with potential for extension for the right candidate.
What you\’ll need to succeed
To be successful, you will require a Social Work qualification (BA Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS, or CCETSW approved equivalent). It is essential to have a current professional registration, at least 2 years\’ experience working with adults in a Senior Social Work Practitioner role, and experience supervising staff and students.
