The HR Project Manager partners with leaders in sales and human resources (HR) consulting to ensure that a project is planned, implement and executed in a manner that meets and exceeds client and internal expectations. HR Project Managers may also provide
direction to Project Managers and (Senior) Project Coordinators in support of project objectives.

This key role generally involves delivering tailored and customized HR solutions and
professional services for large scale projects to a wide variety of global clients. The ideal
candidate will have project management experience in the Business or HR Consulting arena.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure customer satisfaction and professional client interactions through seamless delivery of
Korn Ferry solutions to clients.
• Develop expertise in Korn Ferry’s solutions, as well as being able to discuss all Korn Ferry
(KF) Advisory’s broader offerings. This to be able to advise internal client teams and to
understand client’s context and needs.

• Assist internal teams during the sales cycle by contributing to and reviewing the project
proposal and scope to determine timeframe and budgets. Discuss scope implications for
design.
• Partner with consultants to support business development and delivery colleagues to identify
and capitalize on opportunities to expand business.
• Develop project governance and oversight framework, assuring appropriate
communication between all workstreams and lines of business.
• Partner with the engagement manager to staff the project appropriately, including onboarding
and transitions. And ensure team members have the tools and resources they need for
executing the project.
• Apply best practices and identify processes to improve delivery. Able to advise and influence
others on best practices.
• Manage the execution of large-scale projects, which may include multiple consulting workstreams, multiple solutions and stakeholder management for internal and external project
team.
• End-to-end project lifecycle management, including initiation and setup, planning for an
accurate delivery of the work, accurate follow up of project execution, tracking and report to
internal and external stakeholders, and closing out when complete.
• Manage scope to ensure delivery against desired project outcomes, deadlines, and budget.
Identify, monitor, and mitigate issues and risks as needed.
• Manage project financials including monitoring the budget, revenue forecasting, billing
process, time and expenses, invoicing.
• Create the project forecasting and anticipate adjustments, track and escalate issues,
propose mitigation solutions, and manage revenue margin improvement plans.
• Serve as primary point of contact for client information, updates, delivery, issue resolution and
data tracking.
• Schedule and coordinate internal and external meetings that balance consensus building with
decision-making; document and communicate outcomes/actions.
• Provide project work direction for the project support team.
• Take an active role in quality assurance. Includes quality management plans and assuring all
client-facing documents are reviewed for accuracy and consistency.
• Oversee vendors and external contractors, following internal processes related to
procurement and contract management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Professional Experience, other Qualifications & Skills

• 6-8 years of experience in project or account management with an understanding of
business and effective management practices.
• Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience successfully managing large, complex
projects. Experience with global project management preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint with the ability to
learn challenging internal software programs.
• Experience with MS Project, or other project management tools and/or SAP is a plus.
• Project Management Professional certification (PMP) or equivalent certification applied
outside of IT settings is a plus.
• Ideal candidate has experience in working in training or consulting firm whose focus is
people performance improvement.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with cross-functional and remote
teams, at all levels of the organization, both internally and with clients.
• Provide a consultative approach to working with client and internal teams, adding
strategic value, and building strong, long-term partnerships.
• Strategic perspective with the ability to identify inter-relationships between multiple
projects, including team members, resources and technology, relevant IP, and client(s).
• Balance action orientation, planning, and profitability on multiple competing timelines and
priorities while building and maintaining strong, trusting relationships.
• Use critical thinking and mental agility to identify critical issues. Work quickly, crossfunctionally, and collaboratively to resolve.
• Exhibit professional maturity in presence, and in verbal and written communication.
• Exhibit confidence and knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business
problems.
• Balance client-centric solutions with operational efficiency, to maximize profit on projects.
• Willingness to adhere to established processes; yet also push creative thinking beyond
the boundaries of existing delivery, project management, and industry practices.
• Ability to design processes that honor best practices while improving delivery efficiency
• Ability to adjust delivery in response to client talent and business issues; manage
relevant data, receive input from project teams and appropriately and accurately apply
comments and feedback.
• Comfortable giving and receiving feedback in a strong, 360-degree performance culture.
• Ability to influence people and resources to ensure project teams deliver consistently
high-quality services to our clients.
• Business skills and aptitude to understand the components of and run a fiscally
successful project.
• Comfort in working with people from diverse backgrounds (e.g., race, gender,
orientation, cultural, etc.).
• Occasional travel is likely.

Education

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business or in a related field is highly
preferred
