Job Summary

Moog Aircraft Group is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join the team at our facility based in Wolverhampton. At Moog we’re focused on the customer and for us this means designing complex mechanical products that are often bespoke and high profile. Our finishers work to exceptionally close tolerance, complex product lines.
The primary focus for this role is for the CNC Machinist to set, operate and perform specific CNC grinding processes on precision aircraft components to include bores, grooves, diameters, external and internal features.

Responsibilities Include
Complete necessary quality audits to obtain self-certification inspection stamp.
Work from approved documentation to include engineering drawings, inspection plans, shop documentation worksheets and other written instruction such as NC programs, EEI’s, EI’s, EEP’s, EP’s, MEP’s etc.
Responsible for inspection of own work in line with Quality Audit procedure.
Work in and maintain a clean work environment.
Adopt lean principles in line with Moog principles.
Quality – to ensure all parts conform to relevant quality standard.
Works in a safe environment and in a safe manner.
Performs basic preventative maintenance activities (TPM) on machinery in line with company policy.
Able to select correct inspection equipment on any development processes.
Works with Process Quality Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering in process development

Key Skills and experience:
A relevant apprenticeship.
Previous experience within an engineering/manufacturing role.
Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
