The successful candidate should be able to teach Mathematics to pupils from S1 to S6, but may be asked to teach some P6 and/or P7.The ability to offer teaching Higher or Advanced Higher (Mathematics, Mechanics and/or Statistics) would be an advantage, as would the ability to offer an additional subject such as Physics, Computing, and/or Engineering Science.All members of the teaching staff are expected to assume a pastoral role within the School and to contribute to the School\’s co-curricular programme.

Appointment Terms

  • This is a permanent post that will become available on Monday 18 August 2025.
  • The position will be 0.4 FTE, 2 days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday for the academic year 2025/26).
  • The salary for the post will be in line with the Scottish Teacher scales and commensurate with experience, plus the current Albyn School allowance.
  • Service is pensionable as a member of the SPPA Scottish Teacher\’s Pension Scheme.
