Job Description:
We are seeking a Level 3 qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B male prison. Join a supportive and driven team working Monday to Friday to create a safe environment. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, you will contribute to the smooth and safe operation of the facility, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.
You will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, and others dedicated to making a positive difference. Qualifications and Experience:
- Two years’ experience as a plumber or equivalent
- Knowledge of Water Supply Regulation and Legionella L8 requirements
- Experience with commercial or industrial heating and water systems
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements
- Qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and Heating), and NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
- Strong health and safety knowledge
- Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
