Aviation Operations Manager – London / Birmingham / Peterborough

Salary and benefits: Up to £45,000 plus benefits. Contract: Permanent, Full time. Locations include Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Greater London, Central London, Warwickshire, West Midlands, Birmingham, Coventry, Worcestershire.

We’re looking for an Aviation Operations Manager to join a leading Tour Operator. This role involves managing all Aviation Projects, building relationships with GDS providers, securing deals, and driving the aviation business forward. Responsibilities include liaising with e-sales customers, reservations, and airlines.

Requirements include previous experience in a similar travel sector role, excellent airline and fares knowledge, and willingness to assist with out-of-hours cover. The role is primarily office-based, with a hybrid option considered.

Role of Aviation Operations Manager:

  • Oversee the ticket department daily
  • Update reservations team with new fares and routing changes
  • Assist with GDS relationships
  • Monitor competitor airline activity weekly
  • Manage specialist fares including cruise, NDC, I.T., e-global, and corporate fares
  • Manage ADM & ACM processes
  • Coordinate airline training with the training department
  • Maintain relationships with e-sales customers regarding fares
  • Analyze fares and airline info to promote deals
  • Advise teams on disruptions and contingency plans
  • Participate in emergency line rota
