Earn up to £38,366.4as one of ourWarehouse Operatives. 10pm – 6am NIGHTS, Hull (near North Ferriby), £13.83 per hour plus excellent bonuses (up to £150 PER WEEK pick bonus and £150 per month attendance bonus). We are really going places and our Warehouse Pickers are instrumental to ensuring our busy stores are stocked all year round, providing the best value shopping to our customers in the heart of their communities, 7 days per week, making 2,132 deliveries per week plus across over 320 Heron stores.
To support our store expansion program, we are currently recruiting full time Warehouse Operatives (Pickers) on a permanent basis to join our team at our Melton site. We are offering 40 hours per week, working five 8 hour shifts per week working 10pm until 6am working every other weekend. The role involves picking stock orders in a fast-paced environment ready to be distributed to our network of stores in an efficient and effective manner within the Freezer, Chilled or Ambient chamber.
You will be working to targets, so this role has a performance related bonus, with the potential to earn up to an extra £150* per week on top of your basic pay. (*full time equivalent, subject to your usual tax & NI deductions).

Responsibilities of the Warehouse Picker / Warehouse Operative:
- Pick orders (using a voice activated headset) and load cages ready for store deliveries in an accurate and efficient manner, this could be based in the freezer section, chiller or the ambient store
- You could be potentially working in conditions of -25 in the Freezer section, for this you will have the correct PPE to work in this climate
- Manage your time effectively in order to achieve the pick figure targets and job standards set out by Warehouse Supervisor/Manager
- Complying with all Health & Safety responsibilities in line with Company policies and procedures
Skills and experience:
- Essential: time management, accuracy, energy and a ‘can do’ attitude, ability to work to KPI targets
- Desirable: previous warehouse experience, experience of using \”voice pick system\”, manual handling experience
