34.75 hours per week, term time plus 1 week working 39 weeks per year

Our Governors wish to appoint a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).
The Governors are seeking to appoint a highly skilled, dedicated and effective practitioner who will work across Key Stage 1 and Reception. They will work alongside class teachers to support learning within classes and covering PPA and Leadership time when the teacher is absent.
The successful applicant will work from Reception to Year 2 and will support teachers in planning, delivery and assessment of lessons. They will also be required to support teaching staff on yard. As part of the whole school team, they will work alongside colleagues to achieve our shared vision and aims and to improve school in line with our school development priorities.
The successful candidate will:
- be an outstanding classroom practitioner who is passionate about learning and able.
- to demonstrate a commitment to the aims, purpose and ethos of our diverse school.
- be an effective communicator with all members of the school community.
- have experience of working within the Early Years and Key Stage 1.
- be flexible in their approach, open to new ideas and a team player who is keen to contribute to our Infant team.
- demonstrate through their practice, and in line with the HLTA standards, their professional knowledge and understanding; professional skills including planning and expectations; monitoring and assessment; teaching and learning.
