Electrical Fitter – Package Assembly
About the Role
As an Electrical Fitter, you’ll play a key role in the assembly of Gas Turbine Packages, carrying out specialised electrical tasks such as cable tray arrangements, industrial glanding, and terminations using high-quality techniques. Working closely with a dedicated team, you’ll ensure that every unit assembled meets safety, quality, and performance standards – contributing to projects that energise communities and industries worldwide.
How You\’ll Make an Impact
- Perform a wide range of qualified electrical assembly tasks, including terminating, soldering, and testing of components and cable assemblies.
- Interpret wiring schematics and complete all assembly records and test sheets to the highest standards.
- Prioritise safety by following Zero Harm principles and reporting unsafe conditions via Stop Cards.
- Assemble, test, and validate packaging modules in line with quality plans and procedures.
- Proactively identify and implement improvements in quality and production processes.
- Mentor and support new team members and apprentices, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and adhere to all HSE and operational guidelines.
What You Bring
- Experience in electrical assembly, ideally within a rotating equipment environment.
- Preferably completed a recognized full level 3 apprenticeship; candidates with an NVQ level 3 or technical certificate in a relevant engineering field will also be considered.
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical practices, including armoured cable glanding and cable tray installations.
- Competence in reading schematics and using IT systems.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Proactive attitude with a strong focus on health, safety, and teamwork.
