About This Opportunity
We\βre looking for three enthusiastic and committed social work practitioners to join the Safeguarding Adults Team in Cumberland, primarily covering Allerdale and Copeland, with support to other areas as needed.
The team fulfils statutory duties under the Care Act 2014 (Section 42), handling safeguarding referrals received via the Single Point of Access. As a practitioner, you\βll lead safeguarding enquiries, case conferences, and risk assessments in collaboration with adults at risk and key partners.
This pivotal role involves managing a caseload, offering safeguarding advice, and fostering strong relationships with external agencies such as police, health services, and the third sector. You\βll work from a strengths-based approach to ensure adults are protected from harm, abuse, and neglect.
Were seeking candidates with a passion for safeguarding, strong partnership skills, and ideally experience with the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding principles and procedures.
