CNC Setter – 5 Axis Milling Required!
Our client is a market‑leading manufacturer of precision‑machined plastic components for the aerospace, medical, electronics and wider engineering sectors.
On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit an experience CNC Setter to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible setting, adjusting and optimising 5‑axis CNC milling centres.
Package:
- £32,000 – £35,000 a year (DOE)
- Company Pension
- Parking
- 16 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
- 06:30am – 17:00pm Monday – Thursday
CNC Setter – Responsibilities:
- Set and operate assigned machines safely and efficiently, ensuring precision and quality
- Handover to operators clearly and support them with technical help when needed
- Work with operators to meet production targets and delivery schedules
- Perform first-off and in-process checks using measuring tools and equipment
- Carry out basic maintenance and keep the work area clean and organised; report issues to the Team Leader
- Clean, deburr, and package parts to customer specifications when required
- Take on other tasks as requested by the Team Leader
CNC Setter – Requirements:
- Experience setting CNC 5-axis vertical milling machines
- Knowledge of Heidenhain (preferred), Winmax, or Haas controls
- Able to read and understand technical drawings
- Skilled in using gauges and inspection tools; familiar with metrology reports and GD&T
- Experience with Work holding, tool holding, and cutting tools
