Job Description:
Connect Driver Solutions – one of the most trusted driving and transport recruitment agencies in the UK – is currently recruiting experienced Class 1 Driver for a for a variety of contracts across Newcastle and the surrounding areas.
What\’s on offer?
- Location: Newcastle & surrounding areas
- Pay: £15 to £21 per hour – paid weekly via PAYE
- Shifts Available: Day shifts, trampers, and weekend work
- Job Type: Temporary, with full-time, part-time, and ad hoc options
Whether you\’re looking for regular driving work or something more flexible, we have a role to suit you. Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will include, but not limited to:
- Operate Class 1 (CAT C+E / HGV1 / LGV1) vehicles for general haulage or trunkin
- Perform daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Maintain compliance with Working Time Directive, driver hours, and rest period regulations
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain high driving standards
To be successful in this Class 1 Driver role, you will have the following skills, traits and experience:
- A valid Class 1 (CAT C+E) licence
- Minimum 6 months\’ experience driving Class 1 vehicles
- A valid CPC (Driver Qualification Card) and digital tachograph card
- No more than 6 penalty points – we cannot accept DD, CD, DR, IN, or TT codes
