Overview
We’re Severn Trent and we’re looking for an Operational Technician to cover the Central region (Warwickshire, Leicester and West Midlands). This role will safely operate a diverse range of equipment at Sewage Treatment Works and Sewage Pumping Stations. You will be part of a proactive team delivering small installation and refurbishment projects and supporting operational duties with planned, proactive and repair work on assets.
What you’ll do
- Safely operate equipment at sewage treatment works and pumping stations.
- Carry out planned, proactive and repair work on a wide range of assets.
- Support small installation and refurbishment projects throughout the region.
- Ensure sites and assets are operated effectively, efficiently and safely in line with statutory, company and treatment works policies and procedures.
- Work with a team and also on own initiative; adapt to changes quickly.
What you’ll bring
- Experience in a mechanical/electrical environment would be advantageous; experience with chemical processes is beneficial.
- A full valid UK driving licence is required.
- Depending on experience, may complete a technical skills bootcamp or Level 2 Water Process Operator apprenticeship delivered internally.
