Overview

Mencap is seeking a compassionate permanent part-time Support Worker to join our team in Woking, Surrey. The position is 30 hours per week. We support 5 people who share their home and 2 people who live more independently in the community. The role involves providing high-quality, flexible support to individuals with learning disabilities to help them live as independently as possible and enjoy a great life.

What we’re looking for

  • A genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

Contract and shifts

Contract: Part-time, 30 hours per week, permanent.

Shift times: Our services are 24-hour care. Rotas are prepared at least 4 weeks in advance so you can plan your personal and social life.

  • Days: 07:00–22:00
  • Sleep-ins: 22:00–07:00

There is also a sleep-in option with an enhanced flat rate payment of Β£63.70.
