Job Description:

2 x 4 hours per week including weekends (to be arranged)

£12.40 per hour

Lucas is a lively, inquisitive 6-year-old boy with autism, living with his parents and sibling in Byker. He attends a specialist school in Newcastle along with his brother. Lucas seeks a personal assistant to support him in accessing the local community and activities he enjoys. He loves trampolining, soft play, visiting parks, and adventure playgrounds. Lucas requires supervision at all times due to his tendency to escape and lack of danger awareness. He enjoys \”cause and effect\” toys, especially light-up ones. Lucas needs personal care support, communicates through gestures and noises, and is non-verbal.

Applicants should have experience working with children with autism and challenging behaviors. Resilience and good fitness are essential, as Lucas is strong and sturdy. He uses a buggy for outings. A driver is preferred but not essential.
