Job Description
IT Technical Support
Our client is looking for an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join their fast-growing team – They are looking for engineers who have a passion for technology, problem-solving and are eager to help customers.
Key Skills required
- For this role you will need MUST have experience of SQL, UNIX (Preferably Linux) and JavaScript – These are all essential for the role.
- In terms of the JavaScript experience you only need to be able to read and understand it – You do not need to be proficient in coding with JavaScript.
Additional job details
- Work on and resolve technical issues reported by internal and external customers.
- Maintain impeccable case hygiene and customer-related files and records.
- Customer Advocate providing support to users/administrators of our platform.
- Experience assessing, troubleshooting, resolving, and providing root cause analysis for Product issues related to upgrades, cloning, tables, reporting, performance analytics etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate solutions to complex technical problems.
- A team player attitude to work efficiently in a collaborative environment.
Experience required
- 2/3 years + of commercial experience within a busy Technical Support service environment.
- Object-oriented programming languages like Java.
- Knowledge of the components in the web applications stack.
- An understanding of scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, Perl, Unix Shell, Windows Shell.
- Linux/Unix.
- RDBMS experience with either MySQL or Oracle.
