Field Service Engineer, Laboratory Equipment
Location: London, UK
The company is a leading manufacturer of laboratory equipment, used for the physico-chemical characterization of solid materials. Their innovative sorption analysers are used in several industries including pharmaceuticals, biomaterials, polymers, catalysts, chemicals, cosmetics, and food industries. They now have an opportunity to join their sales team as the Field Service Engineer to cover the UK.
The Role:
- Your primary responsibility is to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of laboratory automation systems.
- Maintain meticulous records and documentation for all service visits.
- This position is home-based with travel 3 – 4 days a week to customer sites across the UK.
- Customers include pharmaceuticals, biomaterials, polymers, catalysts, chemicals, cosmetics, and food industries.
- Working alongside the sales, support, and service team in the UK.
- Full training is given on the instruments.
The Requirements:
- Educated in an engineering/scientific field is preferred; Electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, mechanical, biochemistry, chemistry, biotechnology, biology, etc. or a related field.
- Experience maintaining and repairing laboratory instruments.
- Ability to work independently, with a natural ability and interest to solve problems.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
- Comfortable with regular travel.
