Field Service Technician – Mechanical Equipment
The company is a global manufacturer of process technology, offering an extensive range of products from laboratory to production sized machines and complete plants. Their process equipment is used for wet and dry grinding, mixing, dispersing, de-aeration and classifying. Their technology is used across the world in the Pharma, Food, Chemicals, Energy and Minerals industries.
The Position:
- Perform commissioning, start-ups, and training for new equipment at the customer’s facility. This includes installation check, functional testing, operational check, and then machine maintenance and operation training.
- Perform timely and accurate service in customer‘s plants, such as installation, commissioning and repair of cutting-edge grinding and process machines.
- Troubleshoot and consult with customers in the Pharma, Food, Chemicals, Energy and Minerals industries.
- Train customer’s maintenance and operating personnel in the proper operating and maintenance procedures.
The position is home office based in the UK, with regular travel to customer sites (4 days a week at customer site, 1 day from home office).
The Requirements:
- Educated in an engineering field; Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering; or related field.
- Experience in machine maintenance.
- Field Service experience preferred.
- Electrical and mechanical knowledge, or process technology desirable.
- Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics and flow charts and be familiar with the metric system.
