The Commercial Analyst is a strategic partner responsible for delivering comprehensive market insights, performance analysis, and long‑term planning to drive international growth and profitability for the Celebrity brand. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director – International and collaborating closely with the regional commercial and revenue teams, this role provides critical insights and recommendations to support decision‑making across markets, trade channels, and strategic initiatives. Success in this role requires strong analytical capabilities, financial modelling expertise, and effective communication with sales, marketing, revenue, and finance teams.
Core Responsibilities
- Consolidate and review international market sourcing metrics (brand share of volume, rate, and channel distribution).
- Manage international KPIs in partnership with leadership, markets, and revenue organisations.
- Support and assist in developing long‑term market and channel strategies that drive growth and profitability, ensuring alignment with sourcing needs and organisational goals.
- Provide commercial support in developing the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), including allocation of sales budgets among activities and partners to maximise ROI.
- Provide support on quarterly and long‑term commercial business plans, ensuring alignment with organisational targets.
- Oversee the return of annual sales budgets, working closely with sales, trade marketing, and finance to develop and review budgets.
Performance Reporting & Insights
- Own weekly performance reporting, providing commentary on market, product, trade, and direct channel performance versus targets and week‑over‑week trends.
- Identify and communicate market trends, issues, growth opportunities, and strategic recommendations for the commercial teams.
- Provide insights to inform target setting, incentives, and strategic initiatives.
- Review and assess performance of tactical initiatives, investments, and promotional efforts, including incentives and co‑op programs across the regional markets.
- Track sales and revenue performance against targets weekly, providing actionable guidance.
- Consolidate and analyse market intelligence on competitors, pricing strategies, and incentives.
- Provide support with content and representation of the international team in the weekly Miami trading and commercial meetings and share any feedback and meeting minutes pertinent to brand performance and the markets.
- Facilitate the coordination of the monthly international trading meeting deck with the relevant regional teams.
Financial & Investment Analysis
- Develop and review financial models for significant initiatives, long‑term planning, and budget allocations.
- Prepare business cases for new strategies, initiatives, and investments, including financial impact analysis.
- Support the development and execution of strategic projects focused on performance improvement and growth.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting
- Partner closely with the Commercial Director – International and regional sales, marketing, revenue and finance teams to ensure alignment of strategies and performance insights.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with Miami stakeholders, leveraging global tools and best practices.
- Lead the creation of dashboards, reports, and presentations in Power BI, PowerPoint, and Excel to communicate insights effectively.
- Support the ongoing improvement of reporting tools and processes, including the customisation of BI dashboards and models.
Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Continuously monitor competitive offerings, pricing strategies, and promotional activity.
- Provide market intelligence insights to inform strategic decisions and competitive positioning.
Additional Responsibilities
- Collaborate on various commercial projects aimed at improving performance, efficiency, and market share.
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed to support regional initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial planning, financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term strategic analysis within fast‑paced organisations.
- Strong expertise in financial KPIs, data analysis and modelling.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI) and SQL (Oracle preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to develop business cases, communicate insights clearly, and influence stakeholders.
- Experience working across multiple markets or regions is highly desirable.
- Results‑oriented, highly motivated, and capable of thriving in dynamic environments.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
