Job Description
Lead with empathy. Support with strength.Are you an experienced support worker with a steady hand and a kind heart? At Cunningham House, we’re looking for a Senior Support Worker who can bring clarity, calm and confidence to a service supporting adults experiencing homelessness.
This is a hands-on role where you'll guide your team, support our residents and help shape a safe and respectful environment for everyone.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and supporting a team of Support Workers
- Mentoring staff and promoting best practice
- Supporting people with complex needs, including emotional, practical and wellbeing support
- Creating, updating and reviewing support plans
- Helping residents identify their goals and work towards them
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the service
What we’re looking for: Relevant experience in homelessness or adult care A confident team player who can lead and encourage others A good communicator who builds trust and connection Strong values, emotional resilience and a calm, respectful approach A Social Care SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent qualification) is essential
