What does the role involve?

In this role you\’ll be working as part of a specialist team responsible for ensuring the fleet for one of our key customers, the Ministry of Defence, remains operational and road worthy. The fleet for the MOD is very diverse, from horseboxes used by the Kings Guards through to vehicles used to transport Helicopters, this an interesting and rewarding position where your contribution is essential in supporting the UK\’s defence logistics.

Some of your key duties will include:

  • Contacting garages by phone to enquire on the progress of vehicles booked in for maintenance
  • Understanding what work is being carried out and authorising repairs on vehicles up to pre-agreed approval amounts
  • Keeping our customers updated on the status of their vehicles
  • Ensuring our systems are accurately updated and all queries received are actioned appropriately
  • Please note the working hours for this role are hours per week, Monday to Friday. You\’ll work 2 different working patterns that alternate on a weekly basis, 8am – 4:30pm and 8:30am – 5pm. To support you with training the first month will be office based each day.


    What are we looking for?

    To be considered for this role you\’ll be able to demonstrate your technical vehicle knowledge gained from your experience within the automotive industry and ideally hold a vehicle maintenance qualification.

    Also, we\’re looking for the following:

  • A strong team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
  • IT literate and the confidence to learn new systems
