High on a wooded ridge, the Hog’s Back Hotel’s distinctive façade has been a welcome sight for travellers on this road for generations.

Step inside and the emphasis is on classic comfort, from the stylish restaurant and bar to the 96 spacious, light-filled bedrooms. A high-spec spa and pool invite relaxation – or invigoration in the Hog’s Back Leisure Club gym. The location is ideal, with historic Guildford and the Surrey Hills on your doorstep, and some of the UK’s leading attractions within a short drive, including Legoland, royal Windsor, and Thorpe Park.

We are looking for a Reception Manager who:

  • Has excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Possesses customer service skills and the ability to upsell
  • Has a minimum of 2 years hospitality experience working on reception
  • Demonstrates active listening, negotiating, and presentation skills
  • Can lead and set an example
  • Has knowledge of MS Office suite

The duties and responsibilities of the Reception Manager will include, but are not limited to:

  • Receiving guest feedback, responding appropriately, and recording it correctly
  • Actively considering prevention, recovery, and investigation of complaints
  • Encouraging sales opportunities
  • Taking reservations
  • Dealing with guest inquiries and providing assistance
  • Managing check-ins and check-outs
  • Processing payments
  • Answering calls and emails while maintaining a high level of customer service
