Join our growing team as an Innovation Engineer and help us to build Hexcel’s Factories of the Future at our Duxford, UK Location
The Role

Your work impacts the future of commercial aerospace, space and defence, and industrial markets. This position is designed to offer opportunities for growth and learning while working on exciting projects that will make a difference in our business.
In this role, you will use your experience of engineering principles to define our requirements for new equipment, and work both with suppliers and in the lab to enable us to choose the very best solution for our needs. You will collaborate with colleagues from many parts of the business to turn these new technologies into robust, production-ready manufacturing lines. You will have the opportunity to present technical insights and solutions to stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities

- Contribute to innovative projects aligned with MIT and wider R&T strategy with support from line manager.
- Follow procedures and reporting requirements for projects in which they are involved.
- Regular reporting and communication of results.
- Contribute to team goals and objectives, EH&S, and 5S activities
Skills and Qualifications

- Science or Engineering background evidenced by relevant industry experience or University qualifications.
- Evidenced practical/experimental skills; able to set up an experiment or trial and generate relevant, high-quality data in support of conclusions.
- Ability to organise self, plan workload effectively and allocate resources as priorities require.
