proAV are a leading global audio visual integrator, providing AV and event services across multiple client partnerships globally.
Our immediate requirement is for an experienced Hire & Events Technician to be a key part of our London team, representing proAV, taking full responsibility for providing onsite coordination and technical assistance to support and deliver scheduled events including set-up, de-rig and operation of third-party equipment, for in-person and hybrid events as required.
This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional, experienced Hire & Events Technician to join an established operation with scope to drive and enhance the service at every opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
- Attend pre-production meetings and site surveys.
- Travel to multiple client sites, across London and on occasion nationally, to install stand-alone AV equipment.
- Direct & manage third party suppliers, to ensure services align with client expectations.
- Work closely with proAV Event Managers and Site Contacts to ensure event scopes are delivered to the highest of standards.
- Provide a consistent white glove service.
- Managing technical logistics alongside client teams.
- Ability to provide workarounds in the event of equipment failure.
- Escalation of technical concerns or issues to proAV Event Managers.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and to strict, event deadlines.
- Presentable and able to liaise with senior executives in a calm and professional manner, both face to face and via the telephone.
- Provide audio visual support to other areas of the business when required.
- Post event reporting to highlight production improvements and enhancements to service.
- Provide general AV assistance as and when required.
Desirable Skills
- Minimum of two years’ corporate experience.
- Knowledge of Audio-Visual systems and technologies.
- Knowledge of Event audio, video and lighting equipment, both digital and analogue.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure to strict deadlines.
- Remain client facing and calm under pressure at all times.
- Have excellent communication, time management, presentation and organizational skills.
- Be enthusiastic and self-motivated.
- Be able to establish productive relationships with people at all levels.
- Ability to use own initiative appropriately.
- Customer focused and strong ability to deal with individuals on all levels in a friendly, welcoming and helpful manner.
Hours of work
40 hours per week, 9 hours a day on a rotational shift basis between 7am-7pm, including an hour unpaid break, Monday-Friday.
